While it’s important to hire a professional for regular maintenance of your HVAC unit, there are some things that you can do to keep your unit running smoothly. You should change your air filter at least every 90 days, but you should check it once a month. If it looks dirty, you need to change it. But if you have pets in your home, you’ll most likely need to do it at least once a month.
